Four models are now available.Īll models are powered by a 138-horsepower four-cylinder engine. The standard transmission is a five-speed manual a four-speed automatic is optional ($975-$1,000). LX, EX, and SX are four-door sedans. Spectra5 is a five-door hatchback. All are front-wheel-drive compacts that can seat up to five passengers. Safety features are impressive: The Spectra comes with a full complement of airbag supplemental restraints. In addition to the mandatory dual frontal airbags, the Spectra's front-seat occupants are protected by seat-mounted side-impact airbags while full-coverage side curtain airbags protect both front- and rear-seat occupants. Kia Spectra is an all-new car, totally re-designed and re-engineered late in 2004. New models have been added to the 2005 Kia Spectra line that add fun and versatility, including a sporty SX sedan and a new five-door hatchback called the Spectra5. Styling is sharp and distinctive. Its cabin is roomy and pleasant with a modern design and nice-quality materials and good fit and finish. Everything is easy to operate. It gets an EPA-estimated 25/34 mpg City/Highway yet produces peppy performance. If you're looking for strong value in a compact package, you've come to the right place. The Kia Spectra is a nice little car. It represents one of the best values among compacts, with an impressive list of safety equipment for its modest price. A nice little car that's easy to live with. There may be minor changes to current model you are looking at. I mean Honda or Toyota or even Suzuki )it would be a hit(rather dat sh*t).The following review is for a 2005 Model Year. Maybe if it was introduced in Pak with a different badge(yeah like Ferarri lolz. Or maybe its just dat Kia has a sh**y image cuz all otha Kia cars in Pak are ugly n Sh**. Dese might be da kind of ppl who wud get speed tickets 4 goin 2 slow in the fast lane like 30km in the fifth gear. N every who drove it den gave a bad name n image. Maybe when it came out, 2 many Uncles (with Big noses and magnifying lens thick glasses n Hair if dey hav any, coloured Mehndi) Bought 2 many Spectraz for dere parentz(probably 70+). Well, i think sum 1 has 2 be 2 blame 4 its Cheap Plastic Image. Its just dat ppl need 2 change dere approach n attitude 2wardz Spectraz. When instead dey could b drivin Da Spectra. Still I pity dose Ricerz ppl n feel sad 4 dem who show off on ugly Cities(I think dere higher dan the new Vitara) n Vitz and Platz n all otha ugly same price cars. Although i agree its no match for a VTec. Spectra aswell as being cheapest in its class also has the cheapest spare parts and insurance. And if anyone has Pics of a modified Spectra plz, Dis is thge place to post'em. Its an exellent Ride given da right set of Mindz, Gadgetz and toolz to Mod. Id love to see a Spectra beat a Corolla or Civic( I aint against y'all). I agree it doesnt have a good product image but if more Spectra after market parts are sold, it will definitly stand out. And personally id like to be seen racing in a slim spacy Spectra and not those Fat n Tall lookin High 'shoe' like City or platz.Spectra even apeared on 'High Octane' show on Tv. I think alot of people just dont have a taste 4 it. Which i think makes it a Good Buy if your choosing between a Honda City, Toyota Vitz, Toyota Platz and Kia Spectra. (Surround sound tweeters are standard-Tweeters included) But it is priced in the same range as Honda Citiez and Toyota Vitz. The top Spec comes with alloy wheelz, Spoiler, fog lamps, CD playa and power windowz. The Max Speed in Each gear(dat i tried myself) is 50km 1st gear- 95km 2nd gear - 128km 3rd gear - 145 4th gear and the top speed of 195 kms. The engine is a 1500cc Dohc(Double Over Head Camz) EFi 4Cylinder, producing a little less than 115 bhp. And the size dimensionz place it in the same class as the Civic-Corolla Range. Do you think its good enough for street racing ?.
